gung hay fat choi

this is a piece i have been working on off and on for a week now. this is another in my continueing series of asian folk lore artwork. i'm not as versed in asian lore as i'd like to be but these characters i know well. they are the new year children they are alway present in windows and such in chinese stores to usher in the new year. this is my own version of them i'm pretty pleased how the design turned out. i did this piece totally in copic markers. i'm pretty proud of the fire crackers in the background i drew them lightly in pencil and then colored them so they would have a more distant effect i think it turned out .let me know what u think. and happy chinese new year all
