Description

this is my 99th deviation and i'm working on my 100th, kinda proud of reaching those numbers. this was inspired by a picture of a roof tile from the imperial city in china. a place on line is actually selling the tiles that fall off the building, this drawing is depicting the chinese god of longevity, who is always seen holding a peach, and the item in his other hand has something to do with granting wishes from what i've been told by some asian friends of mine. his head is always depicted as being extra large a sign of wisdom. he is riding on the back of a giant crane also a sign of longevity. this piece is itching to be colored and it's deffenitly on my to do list but until then i thought i'd post the black n white version. i had to hold myself back from not putting more detail in the feathers of the wings since i'm intending to color it. this will be first in a series of 4 drawings inspired by asian castle tiles if i can ever get my lazy self in gear and draw them heh.
